Matejko Hotel

There is elevator in the building. The apartments are situated on the 3rd floor (actually its 4th floor bc a 0 floor is a ground floor). Gazing from the windows unveils a breathtaking panorama of the sea and a vibrant street adorned with picturesque palm trees and glowing lanterns. Nearby, a grocery store caters to daily needs, while a captivating waterfront street hosts an array of inviting cafes and restaurants. Inside, the well-maintained apartments boast brightness and cleanliness. The kitchen is equipped with essential appliances like a stove, kettle, microwave, and sandwich maker, complemented by a comprehensive set of dishes. Sleeping arrangements include an L-shaped sofa bed and a comfortable double bed. The temperature is regulated by two air conditioners. Also there are like 9 chairs in apartments and balcony. Thoughtful touches enhance the experience, such as two provided adapters for forgetful or unprepared guests. Additional amenities include a TV, though the allure of exploration often prevails over screen time. Yet, it feels nice to spend hour-two sitting on the balcony while drinking cyprus wine and eating fruits with seaview. Abundant sockets cater to electronic devices, and small surprises like earplugs, coffee, sugar sticks, and tea bags add a bonus feeling to the stay.

Good hotel with the great location and very nice staff! It's good that they offer breakfast at hotel, it's really convenient and breakfast was really good.

Great location near to railway station and also centre of old town. All walkable. Lots of restaurants, bars, clubs and shops.nesrby Good buffet breakfast with plenty of time to eat. Staff were friendly and helpful. Room was lovely (no 305) with large balcony. Furniture perhaps was a little shabby but shabby chic sort of fitted in with the hotel vibe. Bathroom was modern and clean with excellent shower and plenty of hot water. Organised trips to Auschwitz and the Salt Mines through the hotel and both were excellent. Only slight issue was that the church bell began tolling at 6 a.m. However, this became less of an issue after a couple of days as you got used to it. Krakow is a lovely city and I would have no trouble recommending it and the hotel to any tourist.

The location is amazing, easy to find, just walking distance from all the sights. The room was spacious enough and had everything I could hope for. Great value for money in my case. I want to say a special thanks to the staff of the hotel for their great work and willingness to help their customers. I had a special request and the receptionist, sadly don't know her name, went an extra mile to help me. Sincerely appreciate her efforts. Will come here again when traveling through Krakow.

We have stayed at the Hotel Matejko multiple times and we love it. It is basic but outstanding value and the location could not be better. Only a few minutes to the Main Square and all its historic attractions as well as all the restaurants, cafes and bars you could wish for. Also a few minutes away from the railway station and a fabulous modern shopping centre. We hope the Hotel Matejko never changes.
